Job Description:
C-HIT is seeking a Attorney Advisor Manager responsible for managing and implementing contract requirements in support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Appeals and Rebuttals provider enrollment administrative actions program.

Position Duties:

  1. Manager shall organize, direct, coordinate planning, and implement all project support activities. The Manager shall be able to understand the policy underlying CMS administrative actions, as well as the rebuttal and appeal procedure to the degree that a CMS Director understands it, and shall timely communicate internal policy changes to the contractor s staff. The Manager shall interact with CMS program officials regarding issues and statuses of projects, coordinate financial and staffing resources, procurement and record-keeping, administer security safeguards, and manage the activities of any subcontractors. The Manager shall conduct special analyses, reports and presentations of budgets, performance, and forecasts as required.
  2. Shall be responsible for compliance, legal requirements, and overall business objectives. The Manager shall also analyze workflow and assignments to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, develop and implement processes, program or service improvements to meet such needs, and provide interpretation of data and advice to management, serving as a primary contact for day-to-day operations, problem resolution, and data gathering.
  3. shall be capable of being physically present on site at CMS, if the need arises, for meetings, trainings, and presentations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Possess 10 or more years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years shall be managerial or supervisory experience related to complex systems and work flow.
  2. Shall possess a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  3. PMP Certification
