Job Details

Our client is an innovative robotics company at the forefront of automating vehicle service and maintenance. Their team is developing cutting-edge robotic systems that enhance efficiency, precision, and safety in automotive applications. Backed by a team of industry experts and supported by strategic partners, we are driving the future of automotive service automation.

They're seeking a skilled and hands-on Mechatronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, and deployment of robotic systems used in automotive environments. This role requires a combination of mechanical, electrical, and automotive expertise with a focus on field-readiness and system reliability. You'll work closely with engineering and field teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, wire, and test robotic systems and subsystems
  • Perform system-level diagnostics, calibration, and troubleshooting
  • Support robotic deployments in the field, including customer site setup and go-live
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration and performance issues
  • Maintain configuration records and deployment documentation
  • Participate in product testing, data collection, and root cause analysis
  • Provide technical feedback to improve product design and reliability
  • Operate fabrication equipment and tools for light machining and metalwork as needed

Qualifications:
  • Hands-on automotive experience, especially with wheels, tires, or service systems
  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and diagnostic procedures
  • Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Experience with wiring, cable routing, and hardware integration
  • Familiarity with fabrication techniques including machining, welding, or sheet metal work
  • Comfortable working in a lab and field environment
  • Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks or Onshape preferred)
  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line utilities is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel up to 75% as needed for deployments and testing
