Overview:
We're seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to design and implement automated and observability solutions that ensure the health, performance, and reliability of our IT systems. This senior-level role bridges business strategy and technical execution, providing technical leadership to engineering teams and stakeholders. As a hands-on Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that drive business value.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the overall strategy, technical roadmap, and architectural standards for automation and observability.
- Design and implement end-to-end automation solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python and Bash.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and pipelines to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and design solutions that meet business needs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and engineering teams on automation best practices.
- Utilize observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, dashboards, and reports to provide insights into system performance and automation effectiveness.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies to enhance automation and observability solutions.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, solution design, or technical leadership, with demonstrated experience in automation and observability solutions.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python and Bash.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS), observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.), and automation technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools
- Hands-on Python experience
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, prompt engineering, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation testing frameworks.
- Understanding of "Shift-left" and "shift-right" security approaches, including practices such as SAST, SCA, secrets detection, RASP, and chaos engineering for enhanced security and resilience.
