Overview
The Oracle EBS SCM Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite Supply Chain modules. The role requires a strong mix of functional expertise in SCM processes and technical proficiency in Oracle development tools.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Support & Configuration
Implement, configure, and support Oracle EBS SCM modules such as:
Inventory (INV)
Purchasing (PO)
Order Management (OM)
iProcurement
Advanced Pricing
WMS (Warehouse Management System) or MSCA
Gather business requirements and translate them into Oracle EBS configurations and custom solutions.
Conduct gap analysis, design functional documents (MD50), and support system testing (SIT/UAT).
Technical Development
Develop and maintain custom reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions (RICE components).
Work with Oracle tools such as PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, BI Publisher, and OAF.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis.
Integration & Upgrades
Support integrations between Oracle EBS and third-party applications.
Assist in upgrades and patches, ensuring SCM modules function as expected post-upgrade.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams to streamline end-to-end supply chain processes.
Collaborate with DBAs and system administrators for performance tuning and environment management.
Documentation & Training
Create technical and functional documentation for all changes.
Conduct user training and develop user guides.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: 5+ years as a Techno-Functional Consultant in Oracle EBS R12 (preferably 12.2.x)
Technical Skills:
Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
Oracle Forms, Reports, BI Publisher
Workflow Builder, OAF Framework
RICEW development
Functional Knowledge:
End-to-end SCM business processes (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Inventory Management)
Knowledge of setups, configurations, and dependencies within SCM modules
Other:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience in working with global teams and multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in E-Business Suite SCM or similar certification.
Exposure to Oracle Cloud SCM (Fusion) considered a plus.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and DevOps practices.
