Network Administrator

This is a Full-Time (On-Site) Position in Richmond, VA supporting the Federal Reserve Bank. Full employee benefits, PTO, and paid holidays are inclusive to this position.

Salary Target: $90K-$105K/YR (Salary is flexible based on the relevant years of professional experience and background related to the position)

Requirements: ship Work Status Authorization; Public Trust Clearance or willingness to attain a Public Trust Clearance (Enhanced Background Check- Criminal, Financial, and Drug Screening); Completed Bachelor s Degree or 10 years of additional relevant professional experience in replacement of a completed Bachelor s Degree; 6+ years of professional experience of Network Administration (Not System Administration- Only Network Administration); Must have experience with at least 2 of the following: F5 Load Balancers, Juniper Firewalls, or Checkpoint Firewalls; Well-versed in administration of Cisco IOS routers, Cisco IOS, and Nexus OS switches; Advanced in OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP protocols.

Description:

This is an E-commerce position requiring a minimum of Bachelor s Degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have strong Network administration experience. Individuals must be able to lead, implement, and support of specialized business and technical information technology solutions. Must be willing to work off hours, weekends, and on-call.

Technical Skills and product knowledge requirements:

  • General maintenance, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents in the environment
  • Resolve all network issues assigned to the network team
  • Drive problem resolutions to ensure business continuity
  • Share daytime and evening shift rotations and on-call weekends and after-hours support rotations.
  • Improve quality and ensure consistent and timely resolution of incidents
  • Implement necessary steps to prevent future incidents
  • Audit network devices to confirm network policies and guidelines meet or exceed targets for successful audits
  • Perform change management (CM) role on all network devices. Implement network change requests based on CM processes
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain all network components
  • Document processes in accordance with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) requirements

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge administering and upgrading F5 LTM load balancers
  • Extensive knowledge administering and upgrading Checkpoint and Juniper firewalls
  • Extensive knowledge of administering Cisco IOS routers, Cisco IOS, and Nexus OS switches
  • Extensive troubleshooting skills relating to desktops, servers, network, and firewalls
  • Advanced level knowledge of any of the following protocols OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP
  • Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills
  • Professional, responsible attitude and can work independently
  • Extensive written documentation (processes, user guides)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients
  • Qualified applicants have a Bachelor's Degree in a related area or have at least 10 years of experience in the field
