Your day-to-day work will include:
- Defining, prioritizing, and managing the development of the fire control network and associated tactical radios, working with Program Management to set priorities for network modification and cyber hardening, and providing guidance to the Comms team for each Planning Interval (PI) and Sprint.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to gather functional and non-functional requirements for the fire control network and tactical radios, developing/defining a product roadmap, and prioritizing features based on user needs and business impact.
- Creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog of user stories and test cases for the fire control network and tactical radios, and working directly with the Comms team to meet deadlines and program objectives.
- Supporting the team in developing acceptance criteria for Comms-related tasks and stories, as well as being responsible for verifying work performed by the Comms team and capturing/documenting test results/defects in Jira and/or Confluence.
- Supporting Program Engineering Document (PED) and Solution Engineering Document (SED) Reviews for technical input.
- Technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership
- Reporting on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
At a minimum you should have:
- ship, and residency near Huntsville, AL, or be willing to relocate.
- An active SECRET security clearance and ability to maintain.
- A good understanding of networks and operating systems, and how they interact and function together.
- Proficiency in networking to include both IPv4 and IPv6.
- Experience with network cyber hardening to include STIGs and ACLs.
- Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
- A bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
- A minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
You will be highly desirable if you have:
- Previous experience with/knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
- The ability to "move out" and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm, independent critical thinking, and a team attitude.
- Experience in JIRA/Confluence.
- An Agilist Certification.
