The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides expertise to programs in Data Center Management, Networking and High Performance Computing. As a Network Engineer, you will bring advanced knowledge networking technologies to support multiple program Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs). This is an on-site position in our McKinney, TX office.
This position reports to a manager in McKinney, but will be matrixed to a manager at another site and will take significant direction and taskings from the remote site.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do:
- Lead major network projects
- Provide high-level technical support with advanced troubleshooting and triage
- Assist with technical designs and reviews
- Provide compliance and audit resolution and mitigation
- Help train and mentor junior team members
- May require occasional domestic travel
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience , an advanced degree with 3 years experience, or 9 years experience in lieu of college degree.
- Experience with Cisco-based Wide Area Networks (WAN) within classified environments
- Experience installing and operating 1 or more of the following: RADIUS for 802.1x, or AAA using Network Policy Server or Cisco Identity Services Engine
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist) and Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA) - STRONGLY Preferred
- Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications
- Experience installing and operating SNMP-based network management tools (e.g. SolarWinds)
- Experience configuring and operating Type-1 encryption devices (e.g. KG-175 series)
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation such as network diagrams
