Job Details

Our client is a specialised risk financing provider with expertise in structured financing, credit support, and risk management, known for its Insurance Collateral Funding solution. The VP of Credit plays a crucial role in managing the organisation's credit portfolio, ensuring sound lending practices, and contributing to the growth and profitability.

Responsibilities
Overseeing adherence to credit policies, procedures, and risk assessment methodologies.
Evaluate and submitting requests for credit renewals, incremental/supplemental credit requests from clients, including the structuring of financing solution's.
Conducting thorough due diligence on counterpart/obligatory/issuer creditworthiness.
Monitoring and analysing the performance of the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions.
Collaborating closely with the Chief Underwriting Officer, to align credit strategies with underwriting guidelines and risk management criteria.
Staying abreast of market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk and work with senior risk management personnel to implement suggested revisions to policies and
procedures.
Participating in client meetings and negotiations to structure and secure credit transactions.
Leading and developing a team of credit analysts, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, including product specialists, legal teams, and risk teams to ensure seamless credit processing and risk mitigation.
Assisting in the development of new credit products and enhancing existent offerings to meet evolving client needs.
 
Desired Skills and Qualifications
Extensive experience in credit analysis (banking / ABL), risk management, and lending, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, risk assessment tools, and credit scoring systems.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of professionals.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making sound credit decisions based on data and market insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including credit analysis and risk management platforms.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA or FRM) are preferred
