Job Details
Job Title: Snowflake DBA
Location: Dallas, TX/Tampa, Fl (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months
Tax Terms: W2
Requirement:
- Looking for a candidate with 3 5 years of hands-on experience supporting and administering Snowflake environments, including issue resolution, user management, and performance tuning.
- Experienced in Snowflake administration, including setting up roles, warehouses, databases, resource monitors, and access controls.
- Experience with SQL for querying and troubleshooting, as well as Python or Shell scripting for automation and support tasks.
- Ideal candidates will have experience supporting Snowflake in AWS environments
- Experience supporting disaster recovery processes within Snowflake, including environment replication, failover procedures, and backup/restore strategies.
- On-Call Support Rotation: Participate in a shared on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support coverage for Snowflake platform incidents and escalations.
- Experience in testing new Snowflake features and releases prior to production rollout.
- The role is approximately 40% support (L2/L3 incident resolution, ticket response) and 60% platform engineering, including enhancements, automation, and feature implementation.
- They will provide advanced (L3) support, working closely with Snowflake technical support teams to resolve complex issues and escalate product-level bugs.
- Will help in implementing and fulfilling user service requests, including new data shares, role provisioning, and object creation in Snowflake.
- Experience setting up new Snowflake environments, including integration with external tools, data sources, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience updating and maintaining Snowflake drivers (e.g., JDBC, ODBC, Python connectors) across various systems and ensuring compatibility.
- Experience working within a change management framework, including creating change requests, attending CAB meetings, performing risk assessments, and coordinating change deployments.
- Active SnowPro Core Certification required; additional Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Advanced: Architect or Data Engineer) are a strong plus.
