Job Title: IT Solutions Architect
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract (Long-Term)
Role Overview
The IT Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership, architectural guidance, and delivery oversight for enterprise application initiatives. This role supports planning, execution, and governance of system design and development efforts, ensuring alignment between business needs, technical solutions, and project delivery goals.
The IT Architect will lead cross-functional technical teams, collaborate with stakeholders and third-party vendors, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including system analysis, design, development, deployment, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Provide architectural direction and technical oversight for enterprise applications and integrated systems.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Ensure system integrity, interoperability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Guide development teams on architectural patterns, design standards, and best practices.
Project & Delivery Management
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating team resources across projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and technical documentation.
- Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and report project status to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, risks, and constraints impacting delivery.
Development & Implementation
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including system analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Support web-based application deployment, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate system installations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Provide user training and post-implementation support as needed.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and third-party vendors.
- Facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide assigned technical staff.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in system analysis, application design and development, and technical leadership
- Proven experience managing technical relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders
Technical Skills & Experience
Software Development & Architecture
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Experience working across multiple development platforms (e.g., .NET, Java, R, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with web services design and development
- Expertise in web-based application deployment and debugging
Front-End Technologies
- JavaScript and UI frameworks such as:
- AngularJS
- React JS
- Kendo UI
- jQuery
- HTML5
- Bootstrap
Cloud & Identity Integration
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Experience integrating web applications with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Azure B2C
Databases & DevOps
- Database development experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
- Strong knowledge of PL/SQL and T-SQL
- Experience with Git, TFS, and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of DevOps practices and automation strategies
Security & Quality
- Strong understanding of application and data security principles
- Experience applying security best practices in enterprise application design
- Familiarity with test automation tools and quality assurance practices
