Job Details

Head of Data Governance to lead governance activities for data domains that support investment decision-making, reporting, and regulatory obligations. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and reliability of critical data used across the investment lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across operations, technology, risk, compliance, and investment support to promote transparency, accountability, and effective data management throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The position s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Governance Structure: Design and implement data governance practices and controls focused on investment data domains (e.g., reference data, pricing, performance, benchmarks).
  • Stewardship Model: Establish and lead a network of data stewards and owners, driving clear accountability and business engagement.
  • Data Quality Management: Define, monitor, and continuously improve data quality metrics and issue resolution processes.
  • Lineage & Transparency: Oversee documentation of data flows and dependencies to ensure traceability across reporting and
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, technology, investment support, and compliance teams to embed governance into key processes.
  • Policy Development: Define data definitions, classifications, and usage guidelines to drive consistency and reduce ambiguity.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in asset management, investment operations, or data
  • Deep knowledge of investment-related data (e.g., securities, benchmarks, pricing, positions).
  • Proven success implementing data governance practices in complex regulated
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica), data catalogs, or data quality platforms.
