18+ month renewable term contract. Likely to extend multi-year/option to hire. Client: A major global corporation and a leader in their industry operating over 350 manufacturing facilities with annual revenue earning over $19 B and employing over 15,000.
Overview:
Join a centralized, multidisciplinary, and dynamic group leading the data and analytics transformation. Seeking a Scrum Master to oversee up to two teams (swarms) within the group each consisting of 5-9 team members. Seeking candidates with a proven track record in building and implementing Agile practices, and Agile certifications are desired. Position will play a pivotal role in enabling our business partners to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace. Taylor various Agile methodologies and frameworks to suit the unique needs of the data and analytics organization.
Role:

- Recognize when to deviate from traditional Agile/SAFe approaches to deliver better value based on the organization's specific business and products.
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication with the team, establishing a robust partnership with Product Owners to provide essential support for team success.
- Demonstrate value-add principles, assist teams in eliminating waste, and encourage innovative strategies while delivering high-quality code.
- Lead and coach teams on Agile principles, values, and practices, ensuring adherence to Agile/Scrum concepts and empowering teams to self-organize.
- Transfer high energy to the team through team-building activities, fostering creativity, and promoting continuous learning.
- Facilitate discussions, explore alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts effectively to maintain a harmonious team environment.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with upper management, stakeholders, and external dependencies to navigate organizational dynamics.
- Provide servant leadership to foster a healthy team environment, earn respect from the team(s), and be willing to get your hands dirty to get the job done.
- Proactively explore innovative and creative approaches for conducting ceremonies, such as retrospectives, to foster a culture of learning and encourage joint ownership among teams.
- Identify differences of opinions, protect the team from interruptions, and remove blockers as they arise.
- Continually learn and discover new tools, techniques, and practices to support personal and team development.
- Facilitate discussions, explore alternative approaches, and resolve conflicts effectively to maintain a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Demonstrate transparency by proactively communicating product development updates to the business and leadership.
- Maintain a clear and accurate overview of sprint progress, ensuring alignment with sprint goals and timely delivery of valuable outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 5 8+ years leading and collaborating with development teams in an Agile environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of Agile practices and techniques.
- Experienced as a Scrum Master in previous roles showcasing the ability to effectively facilitate and guide Agile teams.
- Certifications such as SAFe or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.
- A basic understanding of data and analytics or business intelligence operations key deliverables is a big plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure is preferred.
- Ability to be employed as a W2 with TechnoSmarts.
