RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has partnered with a leading engineering technology company in Orem, UT, to find a talented DevOps Engineer for a full-time, onsite role. We are working directly with the hiring manager to fill this critical position.
About the Role:
Join a growing team developing cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, testing, and deploying software releases while ensuring secure and efficient infrastructure operations.
What You'll Do:
* Guide and support software development teams in building, testing, and deploying regular releases
* Manage and improve cloud infrastructure deployment processes
* Provide visibility and troubleshooting for build pipeline failures
* Identify and implement process improvements and automation
* Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures across systems
* Design and manage secure CI/CD pipelines
* Integrate automated security testing and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* Secure containerized applications and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Ensure compliance with defense standards: RMF, CMMC, NIST 800-53/171
* Collaborate closely with engineering and software teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS degree with a technical degree or equivalent work experience
* Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (or similar)
* Operating Systems: Linux (required)
* Core AWS Services: EC2 Instances, Elastic IPs, Certificates
* Backup and data retention automation
* GitLab with CI/CD
* Kubernetes Cluster/Docker - maintenance and optimization
* IT operations overlap: key management, on-prem server storage
* Imaging tools (Ghost or Fog) - nice to have
* Networking and/or security experience - a plus (e.g., ZeroTier, Tailscale)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
