Title: Project Manager (setup of Manufacturing Facility- Aerospace)


Location: Salt Lake City, UT with paid visits to Simi valley, CA
Length: 6+ months
M-F / 40hrs

Drug/Background check Both Required


Client needs a project manager to support site selection and the setup of a manufacturing facility. PM must have experience in aerospace / defense, and it would be a plus if they had munition or explosive experience also.

The client is based out of Simi Valley, CA and will take the next 3 months for project design and site selection. They would ideally like someone started prior to July 10th, when they are visiting SLC to view existing facilities to purchase/lease and then repurpose specific to their defense manufacturing.

This project will start out remote for the first 3 months with some visits onsite to Simi Valley. Around 3 months into the project, it will transition to onsite in SLC overseeing the construction.

Skills:

  • Lead a project to set up a new production or manufacturing site in Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Coordinate with all parties (Operations organization, facilities management, brokers (CBRE), finance team, the leasing company, etc.)
  • Manage the construction project (improvements to a building we purchase or lease)
  • Manage the down selection of a building to meet company requirements.
  • Manage the setup of the facility (capital investments in equipment for production)
  • Ensure all company requirements are met like Security and Permitting
