Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business needs and requirements related to ServiceNow CMDB implementations and enhancements.
- Tool Configuration: Configure, manage, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery probes, credentials, and patterns to discover and classify assets.
- CMDB Population: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by addressing anomalies and maintaining data integrity.
- MID Server Management: Plan and manage the capacity and performance of ServiceNow MID servers, which are crucial for discovery.
- Discovery Scheduling: Establish and maintain discovery schedules, ensuring they align with IT infrastructure and business needs
- Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers, application owners, and other IT teams to ensure accurate data and efficient processes.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve discovery issues and failures, interpreting discovery logs and understanding CI relationships.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, for all discovery work done.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in information technology, or a related field
- ServiceNow Certified Administrator Fundamentals and Data foundations.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow discovery principles and best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficient in documenting business requirements and creating functional specifications.
Experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., Change Management, Problem Management) is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
