Responsibilities:
- Utilize Linux commands and scripting for in-depth analysis of WiFi router performance metrics (CPU, memory).
- Leverage your knowledge of networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, IP addressing) to diagnose connectivity issues.
- Analyze network traffic using Wireshark to identify potential performance bottlenecks or interference.
- Configure and troubleshoot advanced WiFi features like band steering, mesh networking, and guest access.
- Document findings and collaborate with senior engineers to develop solutions for complex network problems.
- Maintain accurate records of network performance data and configuration changes.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Proficiency in Linux command line and basic scripting for network administration tasks.
- Experience using Wireshark for network traffic analysis and troubleshooting.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting advanced WiFi features in routers.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
