Salary range $115-$135KYR DOE
Working closely with the Executive Team, the Quality Control Director is responsible for building and maintaining the company's quality management system and creating and implementing quality control policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for all quality planning, auditing, and reporting activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing a quality system globally, including ISO compliance and audits.
Responsible for the development of a functional and operating ISO compliance system globally and ensuring each department is in compliance with the ISO standards.
Quality management system ownership and maintenance thereof, management of the Internal Quality System Audit Program, and conducting Quality System Management Reviews.
Responsible for the management of the Quality Management System to ensure each department; creates, documents, and implements all required standard operating procedures, including inspection criteria for finished goods and raw materials. This includes formulating, documenting and maintaining quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
Accountable for actively facilitating improvement in new product development, continuous improvement activities & quality initiatives as well as customer interface and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and reliability requirements are well defined, understood, incorporated, and met.
Accountable for further enhancement the organization through the use and implementation of various tools such as quality plans, process flows, FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis), and DOE (design of experiments).
Accountable to analyze customer returns and failure rates data in depth and provide trending analysis. Update Quality Metrics and review repair data for accuracy, determine root cause and CAPA (corrective and preventive actions) with a focus on systemic improvements.
Coordinates with the Engineering Team providing support of quality initiatives including, but not limited to, ECN process for current line offerings as well as ensuring specifications on all current products are
appropriately documented to ensure vendors and internal manufacturing facilities understand product
requirements.
Coordinates with VP of Product Development & Design with a "quality by design" approach in an effort to ensure products going to market are successful
Coordinates with Supply Chain to maintain approved vendor list and track supplier quality and working with suppliers to resolve defective material issues, using root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, manufacturing or related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years operations/quality/supplier quality management experience
Expert ability to manage quality management, quality control, and inspection activities
Advanced level of knowledge with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
Expert ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to employees
