Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Plano, TX that is seeking a Data Engineer.

Summary:
A Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains a company's data infrastructure, including pipelines and databases, to ensure data is accessible and usable for analysis and other business needs. They are responsible for collecting, storing, processing, and transforming large datasets from various sources. Ultimately, their work enables data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to gain insights and make data-driven decisions.

Job Duties:
* Creates unit tests to ensure accuracy; Track record of identifying largest risk areas and driving resolution of these issues
* Provides accurate and timely input regarding status of technical tasks
* Ensure project goals make sense and overall development objectives are being met
* Designs and develops high quality, scalable and efficient solutions and products on schedule

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of backend development. Strong development experience in Java 11 and higher versions
* 4+ years of experience developing, and deploying spring-boot applications using a microservice architecture, containerization (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes) and CI-CD pipelines
* 3+ years of experience designing and developing robust and scalable RESTful APIs using best practices and security guidelines
* Performance Tuning, Optimization, support experience : Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause, ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Java applications
* UI development experience : Development experience in React framework
* Plus to have experience working with virtual directory services with strong LDAP experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
