Job Description: Mainframe Developer
Location: Lincoln, NE (Onsite)
Contract: Long Term W2 Contract
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with mainframe systems, particularly in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and other mainframe technologies. You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mainframe applications that support critical business functions.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
- Strong expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and other mainframe technologies.
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining mainframe applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
Skills:
- Proficiency in mainframe tools and utilities.
- Strong knowledge of database management (DB2, VSAM).
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in a mainframe environment.
- Good understanding of SDLC processes and best practices.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
