Our client, a leader in the entertainment industry, is looking for a SAP Basis Admin Lead.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
The SAP Basis Administration Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical architecture, performance, and operations of SAP systems across the enterprise. This role leads a team of Basis administrators to ensure system stability, scalability, and availability, while driving the SAP roadmap in alignment with IT and business strategies. The lead plays a critical role in system optimization, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning.

Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the SAP Basis roadmap aligned with IT and business strategy.
  • Lead SAP technical projects including installations, upgrades, and cloud/hybrid migrations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, license compliance, and SAP support contracts.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing SAP Basis team.

System Administration & Operations
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW).
  • Ensure system performance, scalability, and high availability through proactive monitoring and tuning.
  • Manage system landscapes, transport routes, and change control processes.
  • Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor system health and performance through KPIs and alerts.
  • Lead root cause analysis for performance or stability issues, implementing tuning and optimization.
  • Maintain detailed system documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure SAP environments meet IT security standards in partnership with the SAP Security/GRC team.
  • Govern system change processes and transport management in compliance with audit requirements.
  • Provide system performance and compliance reporting to senior leadership.

Experience Requirements:
  • 7+ years in SAP Basis administration, with at least 3 years in a lead or team management role.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP system architecture (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager).
  • Hands-on expertise in system installations, upgrades, migrations, and cloud integrations.
  • Strong skills in performance tuning, transport management, and high availability setup.
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
