Responsibilities: Oversee and manage complex software development projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Coordinate directly with internal and external stakeholders to assess needs, resolve issues, and drive project success. Develop and update project plans, including defining project objectives, technical specifications, schedules, resource allocation. Conduct risk assessments and implement response strategies to mitigate potential project risks. Define and enforce software architecture standards, best practices, and governance models to ensure project deliverables meet quality and security standards. Coordinate project activities, including software design, development, implementation, and testing, to ensure successful delivery. Monitor project milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely submission and compliance with quality assurance standards. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Special Requirements: Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills:
  • Implementing Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage software development lifecycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure on-time delivery of complex IT projects.
  • Analyzing system performance metrics and improving software architecture using industry standard tools such as Jmeter/Blazemeter, Dynatrace, and implementing optimization strategies to improve application response time, throughput, and resource utilization.
  • Designing system architecture and developing/managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Spinnaker, to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Establishing and enforcing software architecture governance frameworks, including design patterns, coding standards, and security protocols for inner source projects and cross-team collaboration to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Coordinating and managing with cross-functional IT teams, including software developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders, to successfully deliver software projects.
  • Designing system architecture and developing scalable backend services using NestJS, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs with proper documentation, system architecture diagrams, and API contracts to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.
  • Designing test system architecture and implementing full stack software testing processes including unit/integration/e2e tests, QA standards, and automation using Cypress, and Jest for release validation.
  • Designing component base system front-end architecture to maintain reusable libraries APIs with Storybook documentation to standardize UI elements, implement design systems, and accelerate front-end development across multiple projects.
  • Designing and implementing strategic cloud infrastructure such as using AWS services, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, and SQS, with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to ensure scalable and resilient application deployments.
  • Conducting security risk assessments and threat modeling using OWASP, evaluating attack surfaces, and implementing mitigation strategies throughout the application security lifecycle.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $123,300 - $170,000 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
