Location NYC NY (Day one onsite)

As a DBA, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining an organization s databases. You will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of the organization s databases. The role includes planning, development, and troubleshooting to ensure data remains consistent, secure and accessible. Requirements entail deep expertise as a Database Administrator, excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security and SQL.

What Will You Work On:

  • Maintain database systems of high availability and quality.
  • Install, configure and upgrade database servers and related applications.
  • Design and implement databases according to end users needs.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
  • Implement security measures and frameworks to protect data.
  • Monitor and maintain database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency.
  • Perform regular tests and evaluations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage database storage, user permissions and system backups.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to database operations, connectivity, and performance.
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters for fast query responses.
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support for users.
  • Maintain document

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years experience as a Database Administrator
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in programming languages (SQL server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.), integration tools, and data modeling
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security and SQL
  • Strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
