Job Description:
Network Engineer Lead
XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).
General Summary:
The Network Engineer Lead coordinates directly with the Government/Site NETENG and ISSM and serves as contract RMF/Network co-team lead. Responsible for operating/maintaining the MTC LAN/CAN in support of Simulation and Training operations. Participates in meetings and interacts with customers (RA/ARNG/USAR units) automation and/or communications personnel in both formal and informal settings to investigate and develop network links to C4ISR assets in support of customer operations.

The likely salary range for this position is $75,067 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Relative Experience:
- Mastery of:
- Network systems management methods, including end-to-end systems performance monitoring.
- Network architecture and topology, including transmissions protocols, broadcastings, switching, control, and management.
- Diagnostic and adaptive abilities to solve technical problems associated with operating and maintaining a complex network in support of operations.
- Network architecture currently derived from Cisco devices: Switches, Routers, Servers, CUCM, etc.
- Experience with the following preferred: Windows OS/s: Server 2019/Windows 10; DA/NETCOM Risk Management Framework; DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) process; Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administration and vulnerability scanning: Tenable.SC security umbrella including Nessus Vulnerability Scanner and Nessus Network Monitor (NNM); experience with hypervisor and virtual machines, particularly Hyper-V or VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter 6.5 or higher; familiarity and utilization of SolarWinds network management suite or similar network monitoring solution.
- Knowledge of NIST, DoD, and DoA Cybersecurity and RMF policies, directives, instructions, manuals, and best business practices: NIST 800-53, FIPS 140-3/199/200/201, DHS 4300A SSA, RMF 2.0. Additionally, requires strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

- Education/Experience:
- BS/BA or higher, preferred areas of study: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software/Computer Engineering, or Mathematics or Engineering
- 8+ years' experience
- DoD Certification and Training Requirements:
- Required: IAT-III baseline certification IAW former DoDD 8570.01-M: CASP+/SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP
- Computing Environment Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or similar alternate vendor professional certification preferred, e.g., Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP.
- Position complies with all DoD, DoA, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8140 IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulations, and company and site policies.
- Security Clearance: Current SECRET required and ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Location: Fort Stewart, GA MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night, swing, or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.
- Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%).
