Job Details

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to support the client s Point of Sale system.

Tasks
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support client goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Ensure quality in all aspects of work.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals within established project timelines.
  • Draft a submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Track and monitor project member time and associated costs.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required client personnel.
  • Determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments, if necessary, during the project cycle.
  • Manage projects from beginning to end.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
  • Acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Define the project s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle, consistent with the client s processes and goals.
  • Supports client s IT practices in its continuous improvement efforts around project management processes and oversight.

NOTE: Candidate must be a CURRENT WI resident. Relocation not allowed. Hybrid schedule, minimum of 50% onsite at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid schedule 50% on-site)

Skills Required:
  • 4+ years Vendor management experience
  • 4+ years - Facilitation of meetings and decision-making processes experience
  • 4+ years - Point of Sale Implementation Experience
  • Bachelor s Degree (Please include on Resume)
Skills Desired A plus to have:
  • Risk management experience
  • Communication and collaboration management experience
  • Process management experience
