Summary:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Specialist I will be responsible for providing technical expertise needed to design, implement and maintain the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance information technology security environment. Performs system administration and functions as a subject matter expert for company's Identity Management System (IdM), which includes configuration changes, join and projection resolution, backup/restore, monitoring, performance tuning, and patch management. This role includes responsibility for developing and implementing appropriate IT security policies and procedures, configuring security software, and implementing security administration functions across multiple operating systems and hardware platforms.

POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Four (4) year degree in computer science or related field, or the equivalent work experience; Minimum of 3 Years of experience in healthcare information technology
Must be experienced with Active Directory and have a solid technical background
Experience with security administration across multiple operating systems and especially Windows, Cisco and SQL environments
Experience managing and leading Security projects, including defining requirements, developing project plans, and delivering results
Experience with conceptual security design considerations in Internet firewalls, LAN, WAN, File Server, PC, UNIX, TCP/IP and VPN environments
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills to handle multiple priorities; and
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Good written and verbal communication skills required.
Some evening or weekend work will be required
Bilingual - English/Spanish.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
Must be experienced with active directory and have a solid technical background
Understanding of Access Controls
Understands existing identity data in the different systems and determine ways to integrate into IdM or Active Directory
Understanding of industry accepted standards
Understands identity management processes and identify opportunities to automate additional functions within the company
Understanding of governance/ access certification
Understanding of Federation standards and SSO concepts
Knowledge of Power Shell, SQL programming, understanding of Web Services standards
Knowledge of Active Directory (security model, LDAP protocol, and administrative tools)
Knowledge of Exchange Server (email configuration, mailbox management, and mailbox creation) Knowledge of SQL Server (database/table/view definitions, backup/restore, performance tuning

Responsibilities:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by effectively communicating them to others
Review maintenance and IT infrastructure processes to ensure efficient and adequate security provisions
Perform security reviews on system development projects
Assess and review current technology infrastructure to identify key risk areas, and ensure adequate levels of controls are in place to address those risks
Provides reports for auditing purposes to meet customer and regulatory requirements
Implement suitable vulnerability and threat management in order to safeguard the information assets
Coordinates the development, implementation, and administration of high-level security policies, practices, standards and programs
Updates and maintains password reset portal
Coordinates and implements solutions for effective security of data on desktop and laptop systems (Eg, lost laptops, decommissioned desktops, and mobile devices etc) Other duties as assigned

B. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
