Description
We are looking for a skilled Oracle DBA Consultant to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to assist in the setup and configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager for Oracle Data Guard, while providing hands-on training to internal team members. This is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and make a significant impact within a manufacturing environment located in Irving, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Configure and implement Oracle Enterprise Manager for Oracle Data Guard to meet operational requirements.
Provide one-on-one training and mentorship to internal team members, guiding them through hands-on setup processes.
Conduct comprehensive knowledge transfer sessions to ensure team members can proficiently use Oracle tools.
Develop detailed and user-friendly documentation outlining setup processes and best practices for Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Act as a subject matter expert to resolve technical inquiries and challenges related to Oracle Data Guard.
Collaborate with the client's team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of Oracle systems.
Optimize Oracle database performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Share insights and recommendations to improve database management practices.
Maintain flexibility to adapt to the client's scheduling needs within the 20-hour weekly commitment.
Requirements
Extensive experience as a Senior Oracle Consultant with expertise in Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Proven ability to train and mentor team members effectively, fostering knowledge transfer.
Strong skills in technical documentation, capable of creating clear and accessible instructional materials.
Proficiency in Oracle database technologies, including versions 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c, and 19c.
Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with additional database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and MySQL.
Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-specialists.
Capacity to work part-time, maintaining a flexible schedule to meet client requirements.
