Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings in support of C4I Projects identified in the PWS.
- Develops designs for equipment without critical performance requirements that are difficult to satisfy such as engine parts, research instruments, or special purpose circuitry.
- Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; selects from several possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc
- May check and analyze drawings or equipment to determine adequacy of drawings and design; and plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance.
- Determines test requirements, equipment modification, and test procedures; conducts tests using all types of instruments; analyzes and evaluates test results, and prepares reports on findings and recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
- Ten or more (10+) years years of practical experience with a HS/GED
- Experience performing one or a combination of the following duties: designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests or experiments; analyzes results and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance; and reports results; from general guidelines and specifications (e.g., size or weight requirements).
- Ability to perform non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others.
- Must be able to obtain Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualification within 6 months.
- Demonstrated technical experience in support of Navy C4I systems or other similar systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
- Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science
- Six or more (6+) years practical experience to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents and drawings in support of C4I Projects identified in the PWS.

- Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
- Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
- Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
- Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, standing, and walking.
- Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
