Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid: On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support an in-house software development project for a regulatory division focused on developing a replacement system for work management processes. Responsibilities include eliciting, documenting, and validating functional and technical requirements for the new application, transforming user needs into clear application requirements and user stories, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and application requirements.
  • Develop and maintain acceptance criteria to assure deliverable quality.
  • Produce low- and high-fidelity wireframes illustrating user flows and system functionality.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding and alignment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, Visio, SharePoint, and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for documentation and agile work tracking.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience eliciting and documenting business and technical requirements for software projects.
  • Proficient in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Skilled in creating wireframes and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Office, Visio, SharePoint).
  • Experience working with TFS for agile software development (preferred).

Work Arrangement: On-site attendance required every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
