Senior Application Analyst

We are actively recruiting a Senior Application Analyst for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a direct placement opportunity that will require working onsite in Knoxville.

Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

Formulate and define solution scope and objectives based on user needs.

Devise and modify solutions to solve highly complex problems considering technical environment and business needs.

Prepare detailed specifications from which applications may be configured, tables built, scripts or programs written.

Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and document as necessary.

Build and maintain application integration points.

Lead application software version upgrades and modifications.

Assist in establishing systems analysis, programming, and computer operations priorities in order to provide effective service to all application users.

Take responsibility for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.

Work directly with users of data to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage.

Oversee a small project or phases of a larger project.

Coordinate activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project.

Document specifications including job flows and data flows.

Develop and maintain deep understanding (application and technical environment) of products in order to effectively support customers,

Work with vendors to design and code enhancements to applications.

Act as customer advocate with vendor development.

Identify opportunities for effectively satisfying enterprise information needs through automation.
