Job Details
Position: Senior Control Valve Planner
Location: Carson, CA
Duration: 10 months
What You'll Do
- Assist in developing the control valve work scope to meet project objectives
- Identify, scope, and produce comprehensive construction work packages for project execution
- Create detailed planning activities in Primavera P6 for each work order using applicable planning templates. Activities include defining individual tasks, manpower requirements, durations, and assigning disciplines
- Employ standard analytical techniques to characterize materials and test polymers to evaluate their performance under different conditions and environment
- Perform and lead field walks for site verification to ensure project accuracy Assist in the development of weekly work objectives
- Organize materials by expediting orders, quoting prices, and ensuring the availability of correct parts for project needs
What You'll Need
Required:
- 2 year degree and/or work related experience
- Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), valve specifications, and location plans.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing test/work packages for issuance to the field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Control Valve Planner.
- Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, SAP, and Primavera P6
- 5+ years of Control Valve Technician maintenance experience and/or control valve maintenance planning
- Ability to conduct QA/QC of work packages after work completion
- Ability to understand Preventive Maintenance programs and translate them into actionable work packages
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
