Sr Tax Analyst

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Tax Analyst for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Hospitality clients in Orlando, FL.
**This role follows a hybrid schedule: MTW in office, Th & F WFH**

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting with the preparation and submission of monthly transactional state and local tax filings for the company.
• This role reports directly to the Global Indirect Tax Manager.
• This role involves collaborating closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax filing, staying up to date with current tax regulations, and providing support during tax audits.
• Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying potential tax savings opportunities, and assisting in the development of efficient tax strategies to minimize liabilities.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Taxation
• 3 to 5 years minimum overall tax experience
• Transactional tax training on the multi-state tax laws and rules relating to the hospitality and lodging industry.
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong accounting background.
• Must be self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of various teams.
• Must be detail oriented, proactive and have good analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with Indirect State and Local Taxes
• Ability to remain even keeled, and professional in stressful situations; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Works effectively under pressure while meeting applicable deadlines.
