Position Title: Senior Salesforce Architect

Location: Bridgewater, NJ (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 12 Months with possibility of extension

Job Summary:

Senior Salesforce Architect with 10-15 years of CRM and enterprise architecture experience, including deep expertise in Salesforce platform solutions and leadership in both project delivery and operational support. This role is responsible for technical ownership of the sales and marketing platform, driving the design and implementation of Salesforce sales cloud architecture and integrated applications, ensuring platform stability, and coordinating with a team of 4 full-time Salesforce professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Delivery

  • Lead architecture and solution design for Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience) with a strong emphasis on Experience Cloud customer portals for external users.
  • Define technical architecture for Salesforce solutions including data model, APIs, security, performance, and integration with sales/marketing supporting systems (MDM, Eloqua, etc.).
  • Oversee development best practices, code quality, and scalable designs using Apex, LWC, Flows, and other platform tools.

Operations & Support

  • Provide ongoing operational oversight of the Salesforce platform, ensuring system uptime, performance tuning, and issue resolution in collaboration with IT operations.
  • Own the platform release management process, including sandbox refreshes, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and regression testing.
  • Drive incident response and coordinate root cause analysis and problem management for critical Salesforce issues.

Team Management

  • Coordinate with a team of 4 Salesforce FTEs (developers, admins, analysts), ensuring any Salesforce bugs are remedied correctly, and enhancement requests are delivered correctly and on-time.
  • Delegate work effectively across projects, support tasks, and enhancements while maintaining alignment with roadmap priorities.
  • Promote adoption of platform innovations and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with functional leads within Sales Ops, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Operations and Legal Operations to gather requirements and translate into scalable technical solutions.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits involving Salesforce data access, compliance, and operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of IT experience with at least 10 years in Salesforce architecture and delivery.
  • Hands-on experience building and scaling customer-facing portals on Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Demonstrated success managing Salesforce operations, including monitoring, incident management, and release planning.
  • Proven leadership in managing technical teams, assigning work, mentoring staff, and performance management.
  • Expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows), security model, and data architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, like Copado, and release governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service desk platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with Conga CLM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant and Application/System Architect; CTA preferred.
  • Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
