Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Senior Field Service Engineer to provide both administrative and technical support to field operations. This role involves managing service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting operational and financial performance objectives. The position will require site visits and direct customer interaction, as well as coordination of various service-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Collect performance data and prepare detailed reports.
- Support and develop the field service team members.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
- Allocate and oversee work within assigned projects.
- Schedule work in the service management system (SMS) and manage work orders to determine chargeability.
- Achieve customer satisfaction by meeting project deadlines, budgets, and client requirements.
- Work to renew contracts without cancellations, maintain high margins, and grow the customer base.
- Use service management tools to effectively forecast, plan, control, and evaluate resources.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in home automation, HVAC, security, or fire protection.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in home automation, HVAC, security, and fire protection systems.
- Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
- Valid driver s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, etc.).
- Experience in building mechanics, particularly HVAC (air conditioning, heating, combustion systems) and mechanical/pneumatic controllers.
- Knowledge of building operating systems, including direct digital control, access control, video surveillance, fire detection, and integration systems.
- Familiarity with related IT and networking.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Customer service experience.
