Job Details
Agile Coach would be responsible for guiding teams in adopting and improving Agile practices, focusing on continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with business goals. This role involves coaching and mentoring teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and addressing challenges in the Agile adoption process.
Objectives of this role
Work with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting agile best practices
Guide teams in how to stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning their approach to ensure that overall strategy is being met
Lead agile workshops for developer and functional teams, as well as for key stakeholders
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and assigning responsibility
Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset, and ensure the organization is adhering to industry best practices
Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and support to teams on Agile principles, values, and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead and facilitate Agile events like stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
Identify and resolve impediments that delay team progress, working with teams to find creative solutions and improve their overall performance.
Partner with product owners, senior management, and other stakeholders to align team goals with business needs.
Monitor team metrics and progress, providing feedback and insights to help teams optimize processes and deliver value on time.
Encourage teams to embrace Agile principles and practices, fostering a culture where they can consistently learn and improve.
Guide teams in implementing and adapting Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams.
Advocate for Agile practices and mindsets throughout the organization, helping to create an agile culture.
Required skills and qualifications:
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies: Experience with Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Coaching and mentoring skills: Ability to guide and support teams in adopting Agile practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate with teams, stakeholders, and senior management
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills: Ability to identify and address challenges in the Agile adoption process
Strong facilitation skills: Ability to lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies
Experience in software development or related fields: Understanding of the technical aspects of Agile
Organizational change management skills: Experience in driving organizational change and promoting Agile practices
