Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to support a secure, cloud-hosted platform that enables monitoring and reporting of healthcare program performance. This role will focus on verifying data accuracy, validating application functionality, and ensuring platform stability across dashboards and data-driven tools. You'll work closely with developers, analysts, and cloud engineers to execute test plans and identify issues before they impact system users or reporting outputs. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, an understanding of data flows, and a proactive mindset when it comes to quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data-driven applications and dashboards
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing across front-end and back-end systems
- Validate data accuracy and completeness in cloud-hosted databases and reporting outputs
- Log defects, track issue resolution, and ensure defects are addressed before production release
- Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand requirements, use cases, and expected outcomes
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and prepare documentation for testing cycles and outcomes
- Verify that sensitive data (e.g., PHI/PII) is handled securely in compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a QA/tester role, preferably within data-centric or reporting platforms
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted systems (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and web application testing
- Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data at the database level
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and data integrations
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum, and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
Preferred:
- Experience testing healthcare applications or government systems (Medicaid, CHIP, MCO data, etc.)
- Familiarity with accessibility testing and Section 508/WCAG standards
- Understanding of HIPAA or data security practices for PHI/PII
