World Wide Technology is looking for a Transportation Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $75.00 to $80.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Title: Transportation Engineer (Technology Cisco)

Overview:

  • We are seeking two experienced Transportation Engineers with a strong Cisco background to support a large-scale network infrastructure project for "Client". Both roles are fully remote, with distinct focuses:
  • One role is dedicated to configuration and MOP documentation
  • The other focuses on executing network migrations during overnight windows

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate configuration files for Cisco router platforms
  • Write and refine Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to support upcoming network changes
  • Collaborate with the migration team to ensure all configurations are aligned with execution plans
  • Troubleshoot and revise configs as needed prior to deployment

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routers (ASR9010, ASR1013, ASR1009-X)
  • Solid understanding of routing and transport technologies
  • Experience writing MOPs and config files
  • Familiarity with private network architectures is a plus
  • Experience in large-scale telecom environments preferred (Verizon experience a bonus)
