Position: Dynamics 365 Architect

Location: Canada Remote

Duration: Long Term Contract

Mandatory skills

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 6 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365 CRM

Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)

  • Architecture & Solution Design
  • Design and document scalable data models and data ingestion pipelines for D365 Customer Insights (CI: Data).
  • Develop architectural diagrams that map key entities and customer touchpoints between D365 Sales (Contacts, Opportunities, Activities), Motion.com (Web visits, carts, form fills), ERPs: eCOS & Epicor Prophet21 (Orders, Invoices, Product Lines, Customer Hierarchy)
  • Establish identity resolution strategies to unify customer profiles across systems.
  • Integration Development
  • Develop data connectors and ingestion pipelines (Power Query, Azure Data Factory, APIs) to feed CI Data.
  • Configure real-time and batch ingestion of behavioral, transactional, and CRM data.
  • Collaborate with ERP and web teams to expose APIs or SFTP pipelines as needed for CI ingestion.
  • CI: Journeys Configuration
  • Set up event triggers and customer journeys within D365 CI: Journeys for targeted marketing and lifecycle automation.
  • Integrate journey orchestration with D365 Marketing or 3rd-party systems (e.g., email, SMS, site personalization).
  • Security & Governance
  • Implement and document role-based access, data sensitivity labels, and consent management.
  • Partner with IT Security and Compliance to ensure adherence to Motion s data governance policies.
  • Cross-System Alignment & Enablement
  • Collaborate with CRM, ERP, and Web teams to align data definitions, business rules, and ownership.
  • Support Power BI team by enabling enriched CI datasets for analytics and segmentation.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for Marketing, Sales Ops, and Data Analysts on CI capabilities and usage.
  • Operational Support & Iteration
  • Monitor data ingestion jobs, health of connections, and data refresh schedules.
  • Implement error logging, retry logic, and alerting mechanisms for data pipelines.
