- Performing analysis and maintenance planning that will influencing system design to increase mission capability and availability, and decrease logistics burden and cost over a system's life cycle
- Applying critical judgment and ingenuity to satisfy overall requirements
- Executing and supporting competency development efforts using a comprehensive, intensive, and practical knowledge of, and extensive experience and skillset in applying a wide range of concepts, practices, regulations, policies, and precedents in multiple areas of lntegrated Product Support (i.e.: Maintenance Planning and Management, Sustainment Engineering, and Design Interface)
- Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques for developing new or modified work methods, approaches, or procedures with related emerging practices and methods to provide comprehensive management and technical services
- Providing reliability and maintainability engineering and assurance expertise in the specific design, implementation, analysis, and maintenance of COTS/GOTS C4ISR IT systems to perform the following:
- Applying reliability and maintainability engineering and assurance expertise in the specific design, implementation, analysis, and maintenance of IT systems (hardware, software, network infrastructure).
- Identifying, establishing, and implementing system performance measures, reliability information tools and project procedures for tracking, evaluating, and reporting on system reliability including compliance with sponsor and agency requirements
- Analyzing material, software, and system level reliability, utilizing reports to identify and correct problem areas and to meet system performance levels
- Preparing testing and implementation plans. Establish test criteria and data to ensure all programmatic modules and outputs for assigned projects are tested for completeness and accuracy (supportability and maintainability demonstrations)
- Leading or participating in the formulation of R&ME policies, standards, and guidance
- Conducting independent assessments of and provide advice regarding Center and program practices, standards, processes, and complex technical problems. Other duties will include the development of formal project planning documentation to secure and execute tasking
- Preparing and executing budgets, cost estimates, cost analysis, scheduling, technical documentation, and coordination for assigned projects. They will be required to brief capabilities to current and potential customers, prepare proposals and consult with various DoD and federal government agencies and contractors on related issues

Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- 2 to 3 years of related experience providing reliability design inputs
- Understands all life cycle stage requirements and ability to provide design inputs based on these
- Understands the relationship between reliability and maintainability engineering and supportability analysis
- Ability to review for a program the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Failure Modes and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Ability to work with systems engineers and engineering processes to ensure logistics requirements are identified early in the acquisition life cycle, optimizing reliability, availability, and afford-ability to ensure a producible and supportable system
- Experience defining the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) requirements in relation to the user's mission and needs, system sustainability, and logistical support
- Skilled in the ability to conduct, interpret, and apply RAM reporting and analysis for system support and ownership cost impact across systems, projects, and programs
- Utilizes reliability block diagrams and reliability, availability, and maintainability simulations and models to provide decision information to the program
Desired Skills
- Experience utilizing Reliance software for reliability block diagrams
- Experience providing documentation related to LORA, Spares Analysis, FACAR, and DMSMS reports
- Experience working with US Navy logistics policies and procedures
