Title: SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER
Location: Napa Valley, CA
Type: 1+ year contract with potential to convert to FTE down the road

Our client is seeking an experienced, focused professional to serve as a Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting best-in-class Systems Engineering operations in a dynamic enterprise environment for a variety of customer driven emphasis items. Qualified applicants must be self-motivated and able to perform expertly given consistently evolving priorities. The candidate will be required to work independently to collaboratively and constructively influence both internal and external organizations for strategic and operational decisions for program entities, Directorate Customers, and Industry Partners to achieve positive results. Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate Network Systems Engineering support.
Support Cloud Infrastructure teamwork.
Provide Network support for Cisco Meraki devices in conjunction with MSP.
Provide Systems Engineering and Project Management expertise ensuring exceptional performance with a focus on service delivery improvements across the Customer's mission IT ecosphere.
Develop highly innovative Systems Engineering solutions to resolve complex problems involving limited and disparate information through application of technical knowledge, conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation, and integration of best practices.
Advise and support System Engineering transition requirements of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of complex network environments with geographically distributed components.
Implement community policies and guidance consistent with information system requirement analysis, transition planning, and research and assistance.
Coordinate, facilitate, and verify Systems Engineering projects across multiple environments.
Support business process improvement and proposal development activities
Ensure mission operations and baseline stability throughout transition activities.
Provide systems engineering technical support to special projects as needed. Other related supporting duties as required Basic Qualifications:
Requires BS and 8+ years of prior relevant Infrastructure /Security /Project Management experience.
Systems Engineering and Integration Project Management Cloud Systems.
Familiarity Proficiency in Microsoft Server Local and Cloud technology
Ability to communicate effectively in technical and non-technical verbal and written correspondence with internal team members, customers, and external stake holders Preferred Qualifications
Expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in support of the ITIL Framework Service Transition process.
Ability to work independently or under generalized supervision with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Must be comfortable working on multiple systems and components simultaneously in various configurations.
Possess a solid understanding of secure systems engineering and development.
Possess a solid understanding of secure network engineering and development.
Be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking and communicate clearly regarding technical options and trade-offs.
Experience in leadership roles on Agile project teams.
Technical & management skills:
Microsoft Active Directory, DNS\DHCP, GPO Administration
Solid understanding of network and troubleshooting
Cisco MERAKI Switches, Routers, WAP
VMware vSphere
Backup & Replication
SAN, ESXi Hosts
Windows Server administration and support
Office 365 End User Support
Knowledge of OT environment
Project management training such as Prince 2\Agile would be advantageous.
Technology, Operations, Security & Compliance (40%)
Accountable for local Incidents/Requests & Problems management and ensure support is actioned within SLA. Contribute to escalation when needed.
Work with T&O/Cybersecurity central teams and AMERICAS TOSC regional team to ensure alignment with global guidelines. Service Management and Business Engagement (30%)
Point of escalation of all IT service-related issues.
Build relationships with business users to ensure IT services meet requirements and to eliminate adoption of Shadow IT
Manage local partners contracts and relationships: work closely with suppliers to ensure services are delivered in line with contracts service level agreements and services provided are cost effective. Projects and Strategy (30%)
Support global, regional IT projects implementation/roll-out, including local functional projects with T&O requirements.
Manage local IT infrastructure projects
Manage obsolescence, deliver annual technology refresh programs
