- Contract: This is a Contract position.
- Mode of Interview: Virtual Interview via MS Teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain both logical and physical data models for Teradata-based data warehouses and data marts.
- Utilize Erwin Data Modeler (including Model Mart) to create, update, and manage data models, metadata, and data dictionaries.
- Translate complex business requirements into effective and scalable database designs.
- Define and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and naming conventions.
- Collaborate with ETL teams to ensure seamless data flow and process consistency.
- Conduct data profiling, analysis, and impact assessments for data model changes.
- Optimize data structures and SQL for superior performance and maintainability within the Teradata architecture.
- Support data governance and metadata management initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of dedicated experience in data modeling for large-scale data warehouse environments.
- Strong experience with Teradata databases and architecture.
- Expertise in Erwin Data Modeler and Erwin Model Mart.
- Strong foundational understanding of both normalized (3NF) and dimensional modeling (Kimball) techniques.
- Experience with ETL design concepts, data governance, and metadata management.
- Solid command of SQL and practical knowledge of database performance tuning.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their integration with Teradata.
- Familiarity with major BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exposure to Agile / DevOps methodologies.
