Sr. Full-Stack Java/Angular Developer

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $70/hour
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite in Collierville, TN

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java (75%) and Angular (25%) to join one of our clients in the transportation industry. This role involves both new development and modernization of legacy systems, transitioning from C to a Java/Angular stack in a Linux environment. The position offers the potential to convert to a permanent role after the contract term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex internal and external systems supporting trucking operations and brokerage functions.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, technology partners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on solution design.
  • Review requirements and data models, translating them into scalable applications and architecture.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure compliance with SOA standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects; provide production support as needed.
  • Create and maintain documentation in alignment with development processes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Technologies

  • Languages & Frameworks: Java J2EE, Angular, Spring, Hibernate, JPA
  • Tools & Platforms: Git, OpenShift, JBoss, Linux/UNIX, Shell Scripting
  • Databases: PostgreSQL
  • Web Services: SOA, WSDL, XML
  • Testing: JUnit, Unit Testing
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe Agile preferred)

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in IT development roles with proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud/elastic computing environments.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ for legacy system understanding.

Interested candidates should be prepared for a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role after the initial contract period.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
