Summary
The Digital Marketing Channel Manager implements and optimizes the strategy for the company's owned and earned marketing channels, including websites, social platforms, and local listings.
This role owns the roadmap, performance, and user experience (UX) of First United's owned channels, focusing on long-term channel growth, discoverability, and engagement. The role partners with cross-functional teams (Retail, Product, Technology, ect), agency partners, and marketing team to maintain alignment and ensure consistent digital brand expression across all owned properties.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in marketing best practices, digital channels, and digital marketing tactics.

Job Description
Summary
The Digital Marketing Channel Manager implements and optimizes the strategy for the company's owned and earned marketing channels, including websites, social platforms, and local listings.
This role owns the roadmap, performance, and user experience (UX) of First United's owned channels, focusing on long-term channel growth, discoverability, and engagement. The role partners with cross-functional teams (Retail, Product, Technology, ect), agency partners, and marketing team to maintain alignment and ensure consistent digital brand expression across all owned properties.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in marketing best practices, digital channels, and digital marketing tactics.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct keyword research to support Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies across owned properties.
- Ensure coordination between owned, earned, and paid media properties to deliver consistent messaging and amplify performance.
- Update, optimize, and monitor local listings (e.g., Google Business Profiles), ensuring accuracy and performance tracking over time.
- Partner with the marketing analytics team to define and report on owned channel performance metrics.
- Write and edit keyword-optimized, user-centered content for websites aligned with SEO and AEO goals, following compliance review.
- Direct and collaborate with the web developer on UX improvements, tagging infrastructure, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies for the website and landing pages.
- Provide strategic input and cross-functional guidance to the Social Media Strategist, aligning on growth objectives, content planning, and engagement strategy.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
- Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.

Performance Metrics
Key performance metrics include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining digital reporting
- Growth of owned properties
- Optimizing Website CRO
- Organic website growth
- Execution of roadmap items tied to UX, tagging, or discoverability
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related disciplines, such as Marketing or Business required
- Minimum of 3 years of digital marketing or channel experience
- Experience working directly with financial services, B2B, or tech verticals a plus
- Demonstrated ability to grow and scale digital marketing channels.
- Ability to act as digital marketing SME for internal partners.
Technical/Functional Competencies
- Experience with Digital Marketing tools (Moz, SEMRush, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Adwords, Google Tag Manager) or similar tools.
