Job Title: ServiceNow App Engine SME
Location: 100% Remote (occasional travel to Huntsville, AL)
Start Date: November 16, 2025
Duration: 6-month contract
Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Job Description:
TEKsystems is hiring experienced ServiceNow App Engine SMEs to support a U.S. Army digital modernization initiative. This project involves replacing legacy financial systems with scalable, secure ServiceNow applications. Candidates will work closely with government stakeholders to design and deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) using ServiceNow App Engine.
Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with government and contractor teams to design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications
  • Gathering and translating stakeholder requirements into scalable solutions
  • Building workflows, dashboards, and data integrations aligned with DoD standards
  • Ensuring compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and DoD data handling policies
  • Supporting Agile DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Providing documentation, training, and support for users and administrators

Required Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow App Engine and scoped application development
  • Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, Integration Hub, UI Builder, and workflow automation
  • Experience with legacy system migration and data import strategies
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred Certifications:
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - App Engine
  • Micro-Certification: Introduction to App Engine Studio

Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with DoD financial systems or government ERP platforms
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow Store app certification and compliance
  • Understanding of open systems architecture and cloud-enabled environments

This is an exclusive opportunity with TEKsystems. Interviews will be conducted with both our TGS practice and the government customer's PM. Project start is expected once the current government shutdown is lifted.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
