Role: Database Administration and ETL Subject Matter Expert

Location: Washington, DC (On-site)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Database Administration and ETL Subject Matter Expert to join a high-impact federal program. The ideal candidate must hold an active Public Trust clearance and possess deep technical expertise in Oracle and MS SQL Server platforms, database design, and ETL development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain relational databases (Oracle & MS SQL Server)
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL*Loader, Data Pump, and shell scripts (Windows/Linux)
  • Optimize SQL queries and tune Oracle databases for improved performance
  • Participate in the full SDLC process including requirements gathering, design, and testing
  • Analyze system documentation including ERDs, data dictionaries, and flow diagrams
  • Collaborate with end users and monitor operational systems (ODAS)
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity, security, and federal IT standards

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6 10 years of experience in database administration and ETL
  • Proficiency with SQL*Loader, Oracle Data Pump, PL/SQL, SQL PlScripts, and Toad
  • Strong experience in Oracle performance tuning and optimizer statistics
  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes and technical documentation
  • Ability to work with Entity-Relationship Diagrams, logic flows, and other data structures
  • Experience scripting on Windows and Linux for data loading automation
  • Familiarity with client-server and web environments and related infrastructure

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
