Job Description

Oracle Intelligent Data Lake offers a unified developer experience built on open source standards, a data catalog capability, Apache Spark and Apache Flink for data processing, and a Jupyter Notebook for data analysis and visualization. With these combined services, customers will be able to build a data lake, connect and extend analytical applications with real-time data from any source, inventory assets, transform data, and create end-to-end data orchestration-with unified governance and security.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Manage a team of UI engineers in US, including development and cloud operations
- Hire and grow the team of UI engineers to satisfy business strategy and needs, including junior managers
- Work closely with peer managers, product managers and UX developers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver capabilities in a timely manner.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure the adoption of best practices and alignment with the overall technology roadmap.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Focus on intuitive and seamless customer experiences.
- Participate in scrums, summarize status updates, highlight red flags and propose intuitive solutions to problems.
- Provide constructive feedback and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Required Qualifications / Skills
- 8+ years of frontend development management experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience managing large-scale products in Big Data and AI space.
- Proficient in Software Engineering principles and Project Management.
- Strong Experience working in Cloud infrastructure.
- Strong Knowledge of ES6, Javascript / Typescript, ReactJS
- Strong Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, including CSS preprocessors such as LESS.
- Experience with large Sing Page Application with state management.
- Experience with integration of backend service using REST APIs.
- Experience with Unit Test frameworks and E2E test frameworks.
- Knowledge in performance optimization techniques for front end application.
- Experience with best practices to ensure inclusive design
- Experience working across multiple continents/culture.
- Proficient in GIT and distributed source control.
- Multiple years of Front-end development experience, prior/current to management role.

Big Plus Skills
- Experience in creating micro frontends.
- Experience with REST API development.
- Understanding and mitigating common frontend security vulnerabilities and 3PL.
- Experience with designing systems and building reusable UI components.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
