The likely salary range for this position is $88,697 - $120,003. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Processes and/or tracks privileged access requests, service account expiration/password changes, and/or Splunk alerting
- Monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, network, and databases
- Assists with implementation of countermeasures or controls
- Conducts or assists with regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and that information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans
- Performs or assists with periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance
- Ensures compliance with regulations and privacy laws
- Performs other information systems security tasks as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

- Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
- Experience: 3+ yrs of related experience
- Technical Skills: experience providing enterprise-level O&M support for and performing information systems security tasks for the Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) system; experience in identity access management (IAM); experience with Active Directory (AD) administration; knowledge/expertise with Federal and Department security requirements or equivalent processes for certification and accreditation, vulnerability scanning and remediation, contingency planning, and/or interface connection documentation, including: DHS Policy Directive 4300a, Information Technology System Security Program, Sensitive Systems; and/or NIST Special Publication 800-53, Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
- Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability)
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Role requirements: work location - any CONUS home/remote; experience briefing or communicating issues/problems and outcome-based solutions, plans, progress, and results clearly and succinctly to program managemement and to Government supervisors/managers or technical staff; adept at problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, time management, multi-tasking, and task-ownership; excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing experience on topics related to security technologies and protocols; and possesses a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision
- Preferred Skills: degree in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience; knowledge of or expertise with DHS's Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) tool, DHS's Zero Trust Capability Framework, DHS's Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) program, and/or DHS's Technical Reference Model (TRM); knowledge and/or expertise with CDM Elastic, Splunk, GitLab Ultimate, Maestro, CrowdStrike Falcon, Confluence, and/or Jira; and certifications in ITIL v4, SAFe Agile Framework, Scrum Master, AWS, or similar.
