Job Details

Job Title: Application Support 

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Dallas, TX; hybrid
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Required)


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Champion customer satisfaction by aligning solutions with customer needs and delivering tailored support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to file transmissions, batch job failures, and application performance.
  • Analyze application code for defects and performance issues; recommend and document code changes.
  • Identify and manage process improvement tasks using RTB Jira board; support team in issue resolution.
  • Mentor and guide team members (onshore and offshore); assist in onboarding new hires.
  • Collaborate with team leads to address critical issues and implement process enhancements.
  • Configure and manage automated batch and cron jobs; update CA7 job schedules.
  • Execute production change requests, including break fixes, releases, SSO implementations, and hotfixes.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities such as disaster recovery events, OS patching, and firewall reviews.
  • Coordinate with change and infrastructure teams to resolve recurring issues and validate post-deployment changes.
  • Onboard applications into SRC and support other teams through the process.
  • Work with vendors to deploy application-specific patches and validate implementations.
  • Conduct testing in lower environments and deploy code using GitHub, uDeploy, and Artifactory.
  • Develop early warning alerts to enhance system resilience and availability.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and perform impact analysis.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to optimize server performance and resource utilization.
  • Modify and enhance scripts (Shell, PowerShell, Python) and Oracle queries for performance and adaptability.
  • Automate monitoring and recurring tasks using scripting languages.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, resolutions, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional teams during service disruptions, deployments, and new feature rollouts.
  • Independently perform code upgrades and manage multiple subject matter areas.
  • Continuously identify and document best practices and process improvement opportunities.
