General Summary:

Exciting opportunity to join the Qualcomm Automotive Engineering Operations team and be part of a fast-growing business unit. Primary role will be to support VP budget management with all aspects of forecasting, tracking, and reporting on headcount and consulting. Work cross functionally with Engineering, Program Mgmt, Product Mgmt, Finance, and HR to help drive planning and execution of operating expenses which will involve extensive data maintenance, validation, and analysis. Drive improvements to new and established processes and reporting to increase efficiencies and facilitate decision making.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field.
OR
Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Engineering Operations, Engineering Finance, Project or Program Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data management and analysis utilizing Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tempus, TM1, Tableau, QlikView, or related programs

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish collaborative relationships with Engineering, Program Mgmt, Product Mgmt, Finance, and HR
  • Support forecasting, tracking, and reporting of resources (Regular, Temporary, Intern, Consultants), including target headcount management for functional Engineering VPs
  • Partner with Tempus (resource planning system) lead to oversee planning and help with gap consolidation
  • Plan and analyze resources sharing between Automotive and other business units (labor cross charge)
  • Partner with Procurement to create and track SOWs for Engineering engagements
  • Lead meetings to review and analyze data with functional Engineering teams and domain managers
  • Drive improvements to new and established processes and reporting to increase efficiencies across teams
  • Maintain reporting attributes, process documentation and system access to enable dynamic planning and reporting
  • Initiate and monitor requests for new depts/projects, employee transfers, and Workday requisition changes

  • Technical Knowledge - Knowledge of one or more engineering operational focus areas (e.g., project management, finance, budget and HC planning, procurement, vendor management, demand planning, and space planning) to support the engineering operations management function. This includes knowledge of the relevant tools and processes related to assigned projects.

Pay range:
$40.04 - $60.06

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
