Position Summary:
The role is responsible for supporting substation and transmission line (T-Line) projects by providing critical oversight of materials, schedules, and coordination between internal and external stakeholders. This position will review project Bills of Materials (BOM) at key design milestones (20%, 50%, and 90%) to ensure consistency with design drawings, and will proactively identify long-lead materials and equipment essential for successful project execution.
The role will also create and maintain time-based visual tracking tools such as deliverable charts and material delivery timelines, manage small substation projects embedded in larger T-Line efforts, and assist with construction schedule development. Additional duties include analyzing substation peak load distributions to refine planning accuracy and improve overall project efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Review all project Bills of Materials (BOM) at 20%, 50%, and 90% design, ensuring alignment with design drawings.
- Identify project long lead materials and equipment.
- Monitor procurement lead times and track critical material delivery dates.
- Identify required materials and create lists for each phase in a construction step plan.
- Assist with Step Plan Workshops to improve coordination between stakeholders (engineering partners, outage coordinators, substation operators, test & energization group and Henkels and McCoy West).
- Create and maintain time based, deliverables and material delivery charts as a visual aid for tracking project schedules.
- Provide support to the pre-construction engineer for Testing & Energization and relay settings meetings to ensure effective communication.
- Manage small substation projects within larger T-Line projects to ensure timely equipment procurement and crew scheduling.
- Help collect and analyze substation peak load distributions to improve step plan and schedule accuracy.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of construction schedules to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ year of construction industry experience (within Power Delivery industry preferred),
- Demonstrated engineering and business acumen, customer focus and drive for results.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience in functional groups supporting large projects within construction and electrical utility industries.
