Job Description
ECS is seeking an Operations Analyst to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
ECS is seeking an Operations Analyst to provide administrative and operational support for several ongoing efforts supporting development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. This position assists with ongoing oversight on the program level and personnel management. The Operations Analyst reports directly to the Operations Manager.
This is a hybrid position, with the expectation for on-site work (Fairfax, VA and/or Springfield, VA) at least 3 days a week, with the potential for adjustment depending upon program needs. Position Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Operations Team to support daily activities
- Assist with onboarding incoming employees, working with corporate departments including Human Resources, Accounting, and IT
- Schedule meetings, create agendas, publish minutes, and track actions
- Update personnel roster, org chart, spreadsheets, and other internal records as required
- Provide operational support to Program Management Team relating to procurement, staffing, recruiting and ongoing program initiatives
- Assist the Operations Team with contracting efforts across the program to include document reviews and invoice management to ensure timely and accurate execution
- Generate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for the program team to utilize
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 1-2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficient with technology such as MS Office Suite, Adobe, and ticket tracking systems, etc.
- Self-motivated, energetic and eager to learn new skills.
- Proactive and organized, with strong attention to detail
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly adjust to changing customer priorities
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- A team player with proven ability to positively interact with peers and executive management
Desired Skills
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with government contracts and purchasing
- Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and/or JIRA
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Certification in project management or business analysis (SEC+, PMP, CBAP, or Agile/Scrum)
